After 3 days of a stomach bug woke up starving. Good old nonfryup. Slimming world breakfast at its finest (except I burnt my toast). Bacon, mushrooms, egg and tomatoes. Sushi for lunch then out for a meal with work (already seen the salad I want). Had a loss at weigh in last night so feeling positive - I’ve had a couple of weeks just maintaining. Double booked myself later so after my meal with work I’m off to see a band. I’m ready for the weekend!
yep. This is definitely not a 24 hour thing. Strangest case of a tummy bug I’ve ever had. It’s like having a hangover at the same time. I managed a slice of toast late last night and thought I’d be good with porridge and berries this morning. WRONG. Cue stomach cramps half an hour later! I’ll keep sipping water and ride it out. Supposed to be going for weigh in later. After the past 2 days if I’ve had a gain I will be not too pleased!
Welcome to the end of the week Missionettes. Got to say this has been one of the best weeks I’ve had for a long time. I managed 3 days at the gym and have been totally on plan. Decided to have the day off from the gym today and am currently relaxing with a cheeky glass of Prosecco and kitty cuddles. Back for another little run tomorrow before out to see a local rock band. Think my mojo is back. Here’s to a great weekend
Determined to be 100% on plan. Green beans, edamame beans, cucumber, fresh mint, beetroot and feta. Topped of with bowl of melon, strawberries and pineapple. Speed speed speed all the way. Breakfast was tinned tomatoes on toast and once I’ve finished work I’m off for a swim. New mantra “I am in control”
Good evening Missionettes. Well the title says it all. Yes. I bit the bullet. I went back in the gym. Had my first run since August. Yes I struggled and no it was no where near the speed I was running last year but I managed. I didn’t quit. And yes I enjoyed it (sort of lol). Feel like I’ve made quite an achievement given I’m still not well but small steps! Breakfast lunch and tea has been 100% on plan with plenty of speed and my swim bag is packed for tomorrow. Feeling positive for a change although maybe I should have told my face before I went in!!
The start of a new week and I’m still on plan even though there was the carnage of St Patrick’s Day yesterday. I know I went over my syns but it was worth it celebrating with the Hubby and having a good old sing a long to the old Irish tunes and craic with the Irish Oldies. Even bumped into my Irish friend Lilian who was up from Boston. To compensate for the slight naughtiness today’s food will be speed speed and more speed. Was hoping to try a spin class this afternoon but have come down with another chest infection so it will just a gentle swim. Hopefully the antibiotics will work quickly and I’ll get to boogie bounce later in the week. But for now pass me the strAwberries. Let’s sort this body out ready for the beach 🏖
Friday is my danger day. The day when I can quite easily go “I’ve been good all week.....that’s not going to hurt me”. Truth is it all adds up. One bad meal out of a week isn’t going to do too much damage but I’ve been guilty of just sabotaging the whole day and the Saturday as well. BUT I’ve gotten up this morning (feeling the effects of the hospital) but stuck to plan so far. Toast with marmite for breakfast and SW Chinese curry for lunch. Out for a meal tonight at Zizzis but have studied the menu and have chosen within my syns. There will be no lager!!! Couple of G&Ts that’s all. My lovely daughter has just paid me a visit at work with a surprise Starbucks but ordered a skinny cappuccino with an extra shot and when I got home yesterday she had treated me to a Lush butterfly bath bomb. She’s so thoughtful. Hope everyone has a great weekend. I’ll report back tomorrow to see if I have stuck to my promise!!!
So after the horrendous tests yesterday I got up feeling quite ok. Breakfast was my allowance of Cheerios with berries and hemp milk (which you can have loads of as an allowance but only need a small amount on the cereal). Lunch was peas, green beans, cucumber, edamame beans, fresh Mint with feta, prawns and crab sticks. Slight drizzle of fat free dressing. So fresh and tasty. Feta was a very small amount of my HEA. Delicious. Have snacked on sugar snap peas and baby sweet corn but put them back in the fridge as I could have just eaten those and not my lunch. Tea will be slimming chicken curry and rice. Still feeling in control but the weekend is coming up! Out for a meal tomorrow night but have planned and know what syns I can have.
Final day at the hospital done for this week. It was awful. Would not wish those tests on my worst enemy. But they’re are done now and the results look to be promising (although I’ve got to officially get them). Started breakfast with two slices of whole meal bread (HEB) with scrambled eggs and a glass of OJ (no coffee/tea allowed prior to the hospital). Really enjoyed a skinny cappuccino when I was allowed to go home. Lunch was a jacket potato with plain tuna and evening meal was sw Chinese. I was slightly naughty when I got out and had a snickers but I think I deserved it. Feel rough right now so it will be an early night but I’m going to have half an hour meal planning first. Need to keep focused and positive. Think I’m getting my mojo back!
Hospital all done and dusted for today. Didn't go too bad I think although the moment I walked through the door they picked up on a problem straightaway but did re-assure me it was something they can deal with. Started breakfast off with two wholemeal slices of toast very lightly buttered so within my HEB. Lunch has been speed soup and a glass of juice. No caffeine allowed from now until the rest of my tests are finished tomorrow so I may be climbing the walls. I've already planned tea - omelette, sw chips and beans. Plenty of tomatoes in the omelette for speed. Roll on tomorrow when I can get this all finished with. Might even treat myself to a small bar of chocolate (within my syns) as a reward
Hi Missionettes. I know I’ve been quiet but unfortunately my illness has got worse so I’ve been in and out of hospital appointments. Got a two day admittance this week but I have miraculously managed to stay on plan. Not the weight loss I would have liked over the past 2 months but still a loss. On a plus one of the things I have been diagnosed with results in weight gain if untreated. Since receiving medication for it two weeks ago my appetite has decreased so hopefully over the coming weeks the weight should come off more rapidly. Still not allowed to train but after my little stay with the nice Doctors and Nurses we may be able to come up with a new regime. Got the new Slimming World cook book to go through and even though I’m not well I’m feeling positive. That bikini body may be achievable yet!
Back to basics = back in the pool. Had a lovely gentle swim this afternoon and surprised myself as I managed half a mile (at a very gentle pace). Followed this with a spin class but was disappointed with my fitness levels but I realise this is something I’m going to have to build back up - slowly. Post gym tea was salad, noodles and one of the new Slimming World Thai fishcakes. Plenty of sauerkraut on the side just because I can. Wonder if I’ll be able to walk in the morning lol
Good morning Missionettes. Well the title says it all. Back to basics. Want a really good loss this week. I’ve booked a short break away with the daughter and her friend and want to wear a specific dress that is a little big snug. Breakfast was good old overnight oats and a black coffee. Got a spin session booked for later and I’m going to attempt a swim which I haven’t really done since I became ill in August. Nice to get up feeling positive on a Monday morning
Its been a good two days despite dramas at work which would normally see me heading for the biscuit tin. Managed a spin class last night and a little run tonight. Breakfast was brown toast and tomatoes with a black coffee. Lunch was rice salad and makerel in spicy tomato sauce which I managed to splat down me so I’ve smelt lovely all afternoon followed with a yoghurt that I managed to get to work in one piece! Went for a skinny coffee at lunch with my good friend Steve which was within my syn allowance. But tea - oh my word. New potatoes, green beans, peas and sweet corn with steamed cod in the new Slimming World parsley sauce!! Highly recommended and so quick and easy. Can’t wait to see what they’re bringing out next. Now to tackle iron mountain. Stay focused Missionettes. This is our year!!!
Yep Missionettes. That’s right. I’m back in the gym this afternoon. First spin class in I don’t know how long. Feel a bit apprehensive but the doctors have said as long as I don’t go hell for leather I should be fine. Started the morning off with an old favourite for breakfast - grapenuts, fage yoghurt and berries with a black coffee. Lunch is speed soup. I did have a yoghurt but it fell out of my bag in the car and burst (nice mess!). Tea post spin will be salad and salmon. It feels good to plan!
Hi Missionettes. I know it’s been a while but I’ve been trying to put my affairs in order whilst battling with hospital after hospital appointments. I’m finally getting there and both houses are ready to go on the market and the deposit has been paid for my new build and work has started on the foundations so now it’s back to mission skinny. Christmas was very different this year without Mum but I did have a good time thanks to very good friends who made sure I went out, ate, drank and be merry. The result was I only had a gain of 4lb and by New Years week that was gone. I won slimmer of the week this week which I haven’t done for ages. So it’s a New Year. I’m not saying it time for a new me. I want the old me back, slimmer, fitter and happy. I can do this. It’s time to concentrate on me! Stand by for some new recipes. Here’s to a lighter brighter 2019
Good afternoon Missionettes. I have just assumed my usual position around the pool. Had a bit of a lay in this morning as I was out celebrating my birthday at the Hard Rock in Tenerife. The mission took a bit of a back seat as there were too many delicious cocktails followed by a Chinese meal and a fair bit of sangria. I am surpringly not hungover and back on plan. Scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast and an apple grape and pinapple fruit pot for a snack. Stocked up on sparkling water and will be hitting the pool shortly but for now I need to catch some rays ☀️☀️☀️☀️
Good morning from Tenerife Missionettes. It’s wall to wall sunshine today. Went out for a lovely 3 course meal last night in beautiful surroundings but learned I can’t do 3 servings! Have to say though the crab salad starter was amazing. Off to Siam Park today to throw myself down some water slides with the family. Bring on the laughter
Good evening from Tenerife Missionettes. Today has been a hot one. Not really felt like eating but made sure I had breakfast before I took up residency of my sunbed. 40g of granola and fat free natural yoghurt. Had a mid afternoon coffee and am pleased to say despite my breathing still being bad I managed quite a few lengths of the pool listening to my new swimming mp3 headphones. Tea has been a massive salad with tuna and pasta. Am relaxing now with a naughty glass of wine before my friends arrive from the UK. Cheers everybody. Have a great weekend
