Really fancied something to crunch on while watching a film. Yes it’s a tweak but I’ve done it before and it’s never affected my losses. Fusilli wholemeal pasta coated in marmite and cooked in actifry. Like a cross between beef hoola hoops and frazzles.
Title says it all Missionettes. This was amazing. Rocket, watercress and spinach with edamame beans and cherry tomatoes with tomato and basil pasta with peppers. It feels great to be eating clean again. Followed by strawberries and natural fat free yoghurt. #missionskinny2019 #missionskinny #slimmingworld #sw #eatcleanstaylean #teamkirsty
Bit of a rough day today. Typical for a Wednesday but am still on plan. Breakfast was bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms and scrambled egg. Lunch was a huge salad with ham and boiled egg with a ff natural yoghurt for dessert and tea....well....I finally tried it. Jackfruit. Yes it does shred like meat. Yes it does taste like meat. I covered it in paprika and garlic granules before adding it to the wok with onions, peppers, sweet corn, tin of chopped tomatoes, squirt of tomato purée and a good splash of Worcester sauce, salt & pepper. Had some cherry tomatoes in the fridge that needed using up so chucked those in as well. Gorgeous. Served with plain rice and chargrilled aubergine slices. Will be making this again. Enough left over for tomorrow’s lunch as well so that’s me sorted.
Title says it all. I’ve been quiet for a while as I’ve been ill again. Meeting with my Professor did not go as expected and I was told I won’t get any better and can expect to get worse. However, they are confident that my condition can be controlled so it’s time to think positive. There will be good days and bad days but I’m determined to prove that I can do this. Managed a spin class tonight (and didn’t die lol) and tea was beautiful. Spicy pasta in an arribiata sauce with mixed peppers and Linda McCartney rosemary and red onion sausage on a bed of spinach. I will get a loss this week #missionskinny2019
Away with the girls for a hen party in a lodge in the middle of a forest. It’s bliss. Even better to some extent I can stay in control of what I’m eating. Currently sat chilling with a cuppa after having a hot stones massage and then a giggle with my daughter and nieces in the hot tub. We are out for a meal tonight and I will be honest I will order what I really want. It’s only one bad meal out of what’s been a very good week on plan. Planning on having a spa day tomorrow and a swim. Just a pity the weather is a bit miserable but it won’t stop us from enjoying ourselves.
Afternoon Missionettes. Well what miserable weather. It really affects my condition when it’s cold and wet so no gym today. Instead I’ve been back in the kitchen. Lunch today was prawn salad with homemade slaw for which I received a speeding ticket for. That’s a good thing. Issued by a slimming world consultant for having plenty of “speed” foods on your plate. Tea will be chicken tikka kebab (pinch of nom) with sw tikka massala sauce bulked out with peppers, onions and mushrooms with plain rice. I’ve already prepped tomorrow’s lunch which is spicey 5 bean rice salad with two SW beef koftas. Geared up for this weekend’s hen party by being on plan as much as possible. Already done a little shop for the log cabin so hopefully I won’t do too much damage. Let’s just hope the weather picks up or it may be a bit cold in and out of the hot tub!
Was so good last week then boom the bank holiday hit and I self sabotaged. Had a word with myself and am prepping. SW coleslaw totally syn free for tomorrows lunch with prawns and salad. Spaghetti bolognaise with vermicelli for tea. Taking back control before the Hen Party at the weekend
Sorting the flat tyre out first thing is not a great start to the day. Currently waiting for the lovely chaps at Graham’s Tyres, Sheffield to put me a new one on so they’ve sent me to get a coffee. It does however mean I haven’t had time for breakfast which annoys me because it’s the best start of a diet day! I’ve treated myself to a skinny flat white which I will syn and there’s a fat free natural yoghurt and strawberries in my bag which I’ll eat when I get to work so it’s not all bad. Let’s hope the rest of the day gets better
Well Missionettes today can really do one. Started off well with a good breakfast of bacon (no fat) scrambled eggs tomatoes and mushrooms. Left for work and due to road works and lorries it too me 45 minutes to get to a tram stop. Then I got a phone call from my neighbour asking if I had lost anything. I said apart from the will to live I didn’t think so. Well I had. I’d dropped my purse outside the house and a lovely lady had found it. My address was on a card in there and she had come to return it and my neighbour was outside. I have spoken to the lady and thanked her. Lunch was left over diet chicken. Came home. Cleaned up. Then got told I’ve got a flat tyre. I can’t get in the boot as it’s waiting to be fixed so I can’t change it!!! Arghhhh so I’m without a car again so no weigh in. I haven’t turned to the chocolate though! Tea was chicken kebab that I prepped last night with SW chips rice and aloo saag. And now I’m going to hide before anything else can go wrong
No time for gym or kettlercise tonight having come home to a washing machine that decided it wanted a walk across the kitchen. Soon sorted but by the time I had prepped tomorrow nights tea and sorted tonight’s out time wouldn’t allow it. Been a long time since I’ve been in the kitchen like this. From the top left chicken tikka masala marinating for tomorrow nights tea. Diet Coke chicken with various additions from the Pinch of Nom book and the SW cheese scones. Which I know is a tweak but they aren’t all for me. Served the Diet Coke chicken with rice and bonus there’s enough for my lunch tomorrow. Now for a well deserved soak in a hot bath then the luxury of clean sheets. Early night I think. Sweet dreams
Wow. What a change from frozen berries. Frozen sliced nectarines and peaches with muller ff natural yoghurt and two broken up weetabix. Absolutely lush and so refreshing to have something different. So much easier and cheaper having the frozen fruit for breakfast as it doesn’t go off and you can just take as much as you want out of the freezer the night before. Salad for lunch already prepped and tonight after kettlercise I’m making Diet Coke chicken. Totally in it
Yep Missionettes. I went back to spin tonight. Wasn’t sure how it was going to go as my levels were low over the weekend causing the usual fatigue and pain BUT it was amazing. I came out feeling so revitalised and invigorated and it was fantastic to see my spin crew! Not sure if I will be able to walk tomorrow but it really has left me feeling positive and focused. Tea was scrambled eggs, salmon with a few chillis because I can, asparagus and left over peas and sweet corn from yesterday because why not??? Was starving and everything on the plate was either free or speed on the plan. Breakfast is prepped and if I can walk tomorrow I’ve got a kettle weight session after work.
Despite being on plan all week and avoiding all the chocolate last nights weigh in was a gain. Not a massive one but still a gain. Why is it so easier to put it on than take off? In fairness it was deserved. I know how. The Easter weekend saw me have a complete blow out right from Friday through to Sunday evening. I did enjoy it and I don’t regret it because life is for living but it’s both something I don’t want to or need to be doing every weekend. It’s about balance. There’s been no gym this week either. Breakfast this morning has been scrambled eggs and tomatoes. Lunch is crabstick salad. I am out for tea tonight so it will be the most slimming world friendly thing on there. And the chocolate I received for Easter? I’m sure my work colleagues will be grateful for that
Easter is over and done with and despite receiving too much chocolate not one piece has passed my lips. Haven’t got to the gym as much as I would like due to having car problems but I’ve dug out my old kettlercise DVD’s and will be starting from scratch at the weekend. I’m living alone right now (apart from the odd appearance of the daughter) but it means I am totally in control of the kitchen and the fridge now. Tea was simple jacket spud salad cottage cheese and salmon. I do have strawberries but I’m too full to eat them. The mission is well back on track
So starts the Easter weekend. I had so many plans all that have gone out of the window. I still have no car so haven’t been able to go see the family for the weekend so it’s home alone until back to work on Monday. But it will give me chance to start sorting things out for the big move. More importantly it will give me chance to revamp my weekly menus. Had yoghurt and berries for brekkie all week so this morning I treated myself to a bacon and egg butty. It filled me so I’ll probably have a bit of fruit for lunch then I’m off for a walk to buy chicken for tea. Fancying a chicken salad for tea alfresco if the weather carries on. Pampered myself earlier when I did my eyelashes. At least having no car means exercise so every cloud and all that. No Easter eggs for me either so fingers crossed for a decent loss this week!
its midweek and normally my weigh in night but unfortunately I’m not going to be able to attend due to a car malfunction. Hoping the garage get it back to me tomorrow so I can weigh in at the Thursday group. Had a good week on plan since I got back from Boston but have gone old school back to basics with salads, jacket spuds, cottage cheese and celery sticks. A bit plain but nice for a change. Shopping without the car is a bit difficult so I’ve been buying in bits and bats. Just cut the grass as part of my body magic before I decide what’s for tea. I have a SW meal in the freezer and to be honest I may have that with some strawberries for a treat afterwards. Lots to do in the garden before the hot tub comes out at the weekend
Afternoon missionettes. I’m currently back in the countryside checking the progress of my new build. Had plans today to go on a long walk along the riverside but the symptoms of my condition and the weather have put paid to that! But nevermind. Tomorrow is another day. Had a relaxing day so far chilling on my own. Scrambled egg for breakfast and sushi for lunch. Meeting up with who will be my new neighbours llater so calculated syns for a few drinkies. Tea will be Mediterranean veg cous cous and slimming world beef koftas because they were so delicious in the week. Now I’m off to read my new kindle with a cuppa
Its going to be one of those weeks where I don’t get to sit down for my evening meal until late. So I’ve decided that I’m going to be a little bit lazy and try the new Slimming World range from Iceland. Wow! SW beef koftas drizzled with yoghurt and lime chilli on a bed of Mediterranean giant couscous with stir fried veg. Really tasty. Will definitely have this again and completely syn free
Yep. I’m back at spin class. I tried one last week and it didn’t go too bad so here I am again. Had a little swim this afternoon to try and free up my joints and a nice little chat with my PT instructor. We are formulating a plan! Food has been on plan again with two weetabix, berries and hemp milk for breakfast and a self made “subway” style salad for lunch. It will be a late finish at the gym tonight so tea will be a bit of a cheat of a slimming world ready meal.
