Good evening Missionettes. Well the time has come to pack the caravan away but not for long. I’ll be back in less than 2 weeks. Had a lazy day today. Breakfast omelette to start the day which really filled me up and then steak, roasted unicorn carrots and new potatoes for tea. Proof you can quite easily eat on plan when caravaning. Unfortunately my actifry decided to go bang half way through roasting the carrots but I simply finished them on the health grill. No oil needed. Time to drive home.
Happy Bank holiday Missionettes. I’ve taken myself off home to see the family for a very long weekend. Spent yesterday with some good friends from York and even my daughter came to visit! Had a lovely walk around Woodhall Spa today which wouldn’t be the same if I didn’t call for a good cuppa in Janet’s Tea room. Been a little bit naughty and called at the Artisan Deli for a piece of caramel tiffin. I don’t even know where to start with the syns in that but I’m off for a very long walk shortly to burn it off. All in all fairly on plan but feeling relaxed. Just love it down here
Good evening Missionettes. Another good day on plan. Wasn’t feeling up to much breakfast so just had tomatoes on toast. Lunch was wild rice, salmon and beetroot. Took myself off to Boogie Bounce Revolution tonight. It’s my third class and I can feel the difference already. It’s a circuit class and boy do I sweat! But as my favourite saying goes ....sweat - it’s just your fat crying!!! Had a lovely drive home as the sun was setting listening to Eros Ramazotti on Spotify. Hot bath. Light tea of left over SW quiche and beans and a glass of grapefruit juice. Need to pack tomorrow. Still feeling positive. I can do this. We can do this #missionskinny
well the results are in on the pease pudding crust quiche. Oh. My. Days. It works. It’s like a proper pastry crust. Swapping the cottage cheese for quark is better giving a much firmer filling. Will definitely make this again as also have a go at using the pastry to make a pie. Happy belly happy me.
monday is here again Missionettes. Got my positive head on. Had a weekend back in the kitchen cooking good wholesome diet food. Then yesterday had a lovely afternoon with good friends walking around a few pubs down the old industrial quarter that has been revamped. Breakfast was back to basics with grape nuts yoghurt berries and black coffee. Lunch is the quiche I made and tomatoes before a couple of hours in the gym. I’ll post the verdict on the quiche later. First time I’ve made it with a “pease pudding” crust
Hey Missionettes - long time no see. Lets get the excuses out of the way. Ok. So its been a rough year that has included an Uncle dying suddenly, then I had an accident, then I had surgery to remove a lump that turned out to be benign but if they had left it could have turned to cancer, then the big one happened. I found Mum collapsed. Long story short. She was going to die. Then didn't. Then was again. Then didn't. They moved her to "respite" and within 12 hours of being there a wardrobe fell on her breaking 4 ribs and puncturing her kidney. Due to her condition they could not operate but cauterized it. She was going to die again. She didn't. However it weakened her enough that she could not shake of pneumonia and sadly and eventually she passed away at the end of June. 3 days after the funeral - my other Uncle suddenly died. All this without the support of the one person who I thought would always be there for me but wasn't. However, I've found out over the last 7 months that I have some very very good friends
So its not been a fun 2018 which has resulted in a very deserved weight gain. But I'm now getting back on track with selling houses and sorting estates out and finding time for me again. I have a holiday booked (yayyyyy) so have a goal to aim for. Started with a personal trainer yesterday and food planning has begun. So stand back, get ready - MISSION SKINNY IS BACK!!!!!
