I was with WW last year for several months and I just was not sticking to it. I did for the first month and lost 10 pounds. That was awesome! but then I got so lost with being in school so much that I just slipped. Now I'm back up to were I started. But I'm not going to let it get me down. I'm hitting this hard on the head and I'm going to stick to it. I'm going to sell all the diet books I've read and keep to my simple plan. I'm determined to succeed and see this through. With the combination of Walk Slim and Weight Watchers, I KNOW I can do it! Watch me....

If you are thinking, "why bellydance?" let me tell you! Belly Dance is an amazing workout (and just a fun dance!) for your core muscles because you learn to isolate the muscles of the core and work them out. Why is the core so important?
Core stability training works the muscles of the trunk, including the abs and back, as well as the hip musculature. Your core is the origin of movement and must be stable and strong to protect your spine and internal structures from injury while also giving you the ability to enhance performance. You can improve posture, balance, and create a solid foundation for increased strength and power. Core training is also a excellent way to reduce belly fat fast. - Origin
I first thought of Belly Dancing as exercise from WeightWatchers.com in an article the had called "Belly Dancing: Sway Anything". I have a couple books about it and found the "Goddess Workout" series with Dolphina. She's taught celeberaties!
Anyway, that's just a little info for you to chew on. :)
I also missed my walk this mornign with Leslie Sansone. I slept right through my alarm! I didn't wake up until 8am. Sheesh. So I'm going to do that first thing when I get home from work. Ahhh.. it's nice not having to go to class at 7 anymore! I can actually do that!
I have to thank my sister and mostly my mom for introducing Leslie to me. This is my first day doing it, and I like it a lot! I also need to remember to drink 3 liters of water a day!
So I haven't actually weighed in for 6 weeks, but that doesn't mean that I "restart" my diet. There is no such thing as "restarting" your diet. If this were me a year ago and I fell off the wagon for 6 weeks, I would have just said, "Okay, I want to start my diet again so I'll start again tomorrow" WRONG! I've come to the great realization that this is not a diet, it is a lifestyle change. I can't just start a new diet every time I fall down (even if it is for 6 weeks!). That's just silly.
Anywho, this is my weigh in for this week.
I weighed myself a few days ago and I was up 5 lbs, but hey, 5 lbs over the course of 3 months.. not bad. It could have been much worse and to be honest, I was thinking it would be a lot worse then that.
Now I am so relieved to be finished with college and can now sit down and really figure out what it is I want to do. What do I really want? I want me back. I'm so tired of being fat!I'm done, I wont do it anymore. It's too tiring and pathetic. I want to live!!!!!! I want to be able to walk up the stairs with out gasping for breath at the top (mind you part of that is because I don't have my asthma under control. But only PART of the reason). I want to be able to give massages and not get so tired after/during the 50 minute massage.
Speaking of massage therapy... Although massage therapy is not want I want to do the rest of my life, I want to be able to practice it with out straining myself. My back always hurts so bad even though I stand straight and correctly. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I went through the program and finished. I learned so much about my body, how it works and how to fix it.
So what am I doing now? Well let me tell you! I'm currently in the process of reading 3 diet books and 1 novel. What 3 diet books? The Step Diet, The Complete Beck Diet for Life and today I'm starting “Walk Away the Pounds” by Leslie Sansone. Why 3 books at once? Well, they all have stages, so I'm reading each stage at the same time. See, I am one of those people who want to get as much knowledge as possible before, during and after starting anything. And since my diets have resulted in me gaining it back and then some, I guess I just feel like I want to do it right this time, and to get to that point I need/want to know all I need to so I do it right the first time. I know all I need to do is watch what I eat and exercise at least 30 minutes a day. I know, I know. I even have a plan in hand, So I don't know why I'm reading so much, I guess I just want to.
Anyway, I think that's all for now. I'm going to post about my year goal/plan soon. I'm putting it together today/tomorrow.
